Terms and Conditions

Effective October 22, 2026. Plain language where possible, because that's the brand.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Whaleshine website and your booking of services through it. "Whaleshine," "we," and "us" mean Whaleshine, LLC. By booking a service or using the site, you agree to these Terms.

2. The marketplace

Whaleshine is a marketplace that connects RV owners with technicians who perform mobile RV washing, detailing, roof care, and seasonal maintenance services. Technicians operate their own businesses and are not employees of Whaleshine. Whaleshine sets published pricing, handles booking and scheduling, verifies that technicians have passed a background check and have insurance on file before their first dispatch, and maintains your service record.

3. Booking, deposits, and payment

Every service shows one total price before you book. A deposit equal to 25 percent of that total is due at booking and reserves your technician and time slot. The remaining balance is paid by you directly to your technician when the service is complete, by card, cash, or Zelle. The exact balance is stated in your booking confirmation and your morning-of reminder. There are no additional charges added at the appointment; the total shown at booking is the total you pay.

4. Rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds

You may reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment, and your first reschedule is always free. Deposits become nonrefundable within 24 hours of the appointment, because they reserve your technician's time. If your technician cannot make the appointment for any reason, your deposit is refunded in full, no questions asked, or you may choose a priority rebooking instead.

5. The Whaleshine Promise

If the work isn't done right, we make it right. Report an issue within 72 hours of service and we will arrange for your technician to return and correct the work at no additional cost, or refund your deposit. The Promise covers the quality of the booked service as described on its service page. It does not cover pre-existing damage, conditions disclosed and declined (for example, oxidation beyond the scope of a wash), or work not included in the booked service.

6. Access and site conditions

You are responsible for making your rig accessible at the booked time and location, including gate codes or lot access where applicable, and for disclosing site restrictions (for example, water-use rules at a storage facility). If a technician arrives and cannot access the rig, the visit is treated as a cancellation within 24 hours.

7. Care Plan

The Care Plan is an annual membership billed to the payment method on file. Members pay no deposits on bookings during the plan year and receive member rates paid directly to the technician. Plans renew automatically each year; we send a reminder at least 30 days before renewal, and you may cancel renewal any time before it occurs. Plan fees are nonrefundable once the plan year begins, except where required by law.

8. Service records and photos

Technicians photograph the work performed, and those photos and condition notes are stored in your rig's service record for your use. By booking, you consent to this documentation. Photos are of your rig and the work, not of people or your property beyond what is necessary to document the service.

9. Reviews

Only customers with a completed booking may leave a review. Reviews must reflect your honest experience. Where a customer received founding or promotional pricing in exchange for an honest review, we disclose that alongside the reviews. We do not publish fabricated reviews and we do not condition any incentive on a positive rating.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, book services you do not intend to receive, solicit technicians to transact off the platform for services originating from it, or interfere with other customers' use of the marketplace.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Services are provided by technicians, and Whaleshine's responsibility for service quality is as stated in the Whaleshine Promise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whaleshine's total liability arising out of or relating to a booking is limited to the total price of that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Disputes

We want to fix problems directly, so contact us first at support@whaleshine.com. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, and you and Whaleshine each waive the right to participate in a class action. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
